Buildings and Grounds

St Paul’s British Primary School is located in the quiet village of Vossem in the Commune/Gemeente of Tervuren to the east of Brussels. We occupy four buildings on Stationsstraat in Vossem, which are known by their street numbers (No.1, No.3, No.6, No.8), and the “Old Barn”.

On one side of Stationsstraat is the Pre-school.  No. 8 houses “First Steps” and No. 6 houses Nursery. Behind No.6 is a play ground and beside No.8 is a play garden.

On the opposite side of Stationsstraat is the Primary School.  No. 3 houses Reception Class and specialist rooms for French and EAL (English as an Additional Language). The newly renovated Building No. 1 houses Years 1 – 4*.

Backing on to No.1 is the “Old Barn” which is being beautifully restored to provide a school hall and gymnasium for the whole school to use from September 2009. It will also house the Primary School Library and ICT Centre.

No.3 also houses the School Reception, Administrative Office and Staff Room. Behind No.3 and No.1 are a playground and a playing field, complete with a Wild Life Garden including a pond.

* In 2009 we are not offering year 5 and 6 classes while we complete the refurbishment of our buildings. However it is our intention to offer a Year 5 class from September 2010 and a Year 6 class from September 2011.
